NYC etc.

Well, VBS was a success. I definitely bonded with some of the kids which was great. Went to NY with my family this past week which was a lot of fun. Oh and the night before I went to NY my friend Lindsay was in town so we hung out until really late which might not have been the best idea before an early flight but I survived and it was worth it. :) I could never live in a city like NYC, but it's fun to visit. I just like my trees and grass too much. :) The Broadway shows were great. Wicked was amazing!!! It was my favorite. Phantom of the Opera was a very close second. We had amazing seats. The chandelier that comes down in Phantom swooped down right over our heads. Yeah, you really can't beat second row center seats. It was awesome! I also got to see one of my all time favorite paints, "The Starry Night" by van Gogh. Yeah, I was quite excited. We went to two art museums, The Met, and Museum of Modern Art. Twas great. One of my goals in life is to visit as many major art museums as possible. Anybody up for going to the Louvre with me? ha ha That's one I really want to visit.

So just when I thought VBS was over (don't get me wrong I love VBS) I had to jump right into another one as soon as I got back this week b/c we have VBS on wheels at the Lakeland Courthouse, and I got told at the last minute I'd be teaching crafts. I panicked slightly b/c I like being well prepared, but I got over it as soon as I jumped into it and it's been lots of fun. I really do love my job and I'm super excited about going to camp with the kids the week after next.

Only about five more weeks until I get to move back into MC!! I really can't wait. I love that place and I miss my friends so so so so so much!! ha ha I'm glad I've been able to keep in touch with most of my closest friends over the Summer b/c I really miss them in case you couldn't already tell. There is now one damper to the end of the Summer which is the fact that I have to have my wisdom teeth removed August 10th. Boooo! I'm dreading it! Yeah, I'm not such a big fan of pain and I don't like taking medicines that make me lose control of myself in any way. I guess I'm somewhat of a control freak. ha ha Plus it doesn't help that my last memory of me being put to sleep for surgery type stuff involved my throwing up as soon as I woke up. Anyway, I get to help out at the ST table at the freshman orientations this weekend which I'm excited about. I get to see MC people which always makes me happy.

Here's some pictures b/c I always like to end with pictures. :)

Yay, Lindsay was in town...our usual picture in the backseat of Kevin's car.

"The Starry Night" by van Gogh one of my all time favorite paintings. To see a lot more famous paintings look at my first NY album on facebook. It consist entirely of paintings from the museums.
